Valentine’s Day T-Shirts

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner love is definitely in the air here at The Adair Group.  February 14th, 2012 is fast approaching so there is no better time than now to talk about this day of love.  Valentine’s Day isn’t all about flowers, candy and expensive dinners.  It has a historical background too.  Although it is sometimes debated, Valentine’s Day definitely links back to a Catholic saint named St. Valentine.  Valentine’s Day is a church sanctioned holiday as Pope Gelasius deemed February 14th St. Valentine’s Day somewhere near 498 A.D.   To this day it is still unclear exactly who the celebrated saint of love really was as the Catholic Church acknowledges three separate saints named Valentine; one a priest, one a bishop and there is little known about the third however all three were martyrs.  Valentine’s Day began to gain popularity around the 17th and 18thcenturies when friends and lovers of all social classes began to exchange small tokens of affection or handwritten notes.  Valentine’s Day is celebrated not just in the United States but in Canada, the United Kingdom, Mexico, France and Australia as well. Today, an estimated 1 billion Valentine’s Day cards are sent each year making it the second largest card-sending holiday of the year.

Show Your Love w/ Valentine's Day T-Shirts

Every Valentine’s Day I get my kids Valentine’s Day t-shirts.  They absolutely love this present and wear it to school each and every Valentine’s Day. Pink Valentine’s Day T-Shirts are the most popular color.  I also send out Valentine’s Day cards to all of my loved ones to express how special they are and how much they mean to me.  To me, Valentine’s Day isn’t about the expensive gifts or dates, it’s about loving those special people in your life with all of your heart and soul and letting them know exactly how you feel.
