October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.\u00a0 This is an annual campaign created to increase awareness of this horrible disease.\u00a0 Although many people are aware of breast cancer, many seem to forget to take the steps to have a plan to detect this disease in its early stages and also encourage others to do the same.\u00a0 The National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM) is a collaboration of national public service organizations, professional medical associations, and government agencies working together to promote breast cancer awareness, share information on the disease, and provide greater access to services.\u00a0 Even though great strides have been made in breast cancer awareness and the treatment, there still remains a lot to be accomplished.\u00a0 Breast Cancer Awareness Month is all about educating and empowering women to be aware and take charge of their own breast health.<\/p>\n
