Donor Spotlight: Urban Initiatives

One of the coolest and most rewarding things we do around here is give back to the community.  The best way for us to do this is by giving away shirts to organizations in need.  Sometimes it’s for schools with underprivileged children who simply need clothes.  Other times its’ for things like sponsoring a team who is running in a 5K to support a loved one battling cancer.  No two organizations are the same but each one we donate to has a higher purpose.  We realize that giving them shirts isn’t going to cure all of their ails but if we can make just a minor difference that keeps us going.  Today I would like to mention one of our most recent donation recipients, Urban Initiatives.

We were recently introduced to this wonderful organization whose mission is to empower Chicago’s underserved children to adopt healthy lifestyles, improve their academic performance, and build strong character through sports-based youth development programs.

Urban Initiatives Staff Rocks our Tees!

They maximize their programmatic impact by collaborating with parents, schools, and community stakeholders.  Here is what Urban Initiatives had to say about our donation. “With just one day to go before the second annual Work to Play Cup, we wanted to give a big shout out to one of our amazing supporters this year, The Adair Group.  The Adair team generously donated 60 shirts to Urban Initiatives, and thanks to their support, our sponsors will take the field in style with very limited edition 2014 Work to Play Cup shirts. As you can see from the picture, our sponsors are going to look great, and by the time we host our 10th Work to Play Cup, the shirts will have serious throwback status.”  Thanks guys and good luck with your event!  Please visit Urban Initiatives website to learn more about their super awesome organization.
