Get Ready…Super Bowl XLVII
Without a doubt, the biggest football game of the year is fast approaching. The NFL Super Bowl XLVII will be held on February 3rd, 2013 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Super Bowl XLVII is less than a month away. Each team still in the playoffs are playing their hardest and fighting for a spot in the biggest football game of the year. They are fighting for the chance to be named 2013 Super Bowl Champions and receive the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
Not only is the Super Bowl the biggest football event of the year it is also the biggest marketing event of the year. Companies spend millions and millions of dollars to have their commercials ran during the Super Bowl as it is one of the most viewed television events of the year. Prices have risen up to nearly $4 million per thirty-second spot. As much as I love watching football, I must admit that just watching the commercials during the Super Bowl is one of my favorite things to do. I am sure it is many other peoples favorite as well as watching the half time show. This year Beyonce is scheduled to headline the half time show at Super Bowl XLVII.
Many people throw Super Bowl parties with all sorts of food and drink. They invite their friends and family over to watch the game and have an all-around good time. The Super Bowl isn’t just about the actual football game nowadays. It is just as much about the crazy commercials, the half time show and the Super Bowl parties as it is about the actual game itself. So throw on your favorite team’s super bowl t-shirt, grab a drink and let’s watch some football!
